Logan Hunter, on the second day of the Colonial Athletic Association Championships at the Dataw Island's Morgan River and Cotton Dike courses.
As a team, the Tribe carded a 2-over 290 on day two of the championships and sits in fifth place after the opening 36 holes of action. UNCW leads the event at 14-under 562 following a 273 (-15) in round two. Drexel is second at 578 (+2) followed by Charleston (579) and Elon (580). W&M (586) is just eight shots out of second place entering the final 18 holes.
Binau is in a share of sixth place at 143 (-1) followed closely by Bundy in ninth at even-par 144. Binau fired a 1-under 71 on Monday thanks to four birdies. He leads the Tribe and ranks sixth in the field with eight birdies over the two days. He is also second in par-3 scoring at 2-under par. Binau enters the final 18 holes looking for his second-straight top-10 showing at the CAA Championships after finishing t-10 last season.
Bundy followed up his 1-under 71 in the opening round with a 1-over 73 in round 2. He closed out his round in strong fashion with the only eagle of the tournament at the par-5, 558-yard 18th hole. It was one of just seven eagles so far at the tournament. Through 36 holes, Bundy is third in the field in par-5 scoring at 4-under.
Hunter shot an even-par 72 on Monday and in the process broke a school record. It was Hunter's 14th round of par or better this season, which topped the previous program mark of 13 held by David Hicks (2015-16) and Jeremy Wells (2010-11). He got off to a strong start by eagling the 5-par, 528-yard second hole. Hunter is in a share of 28th at 150 (+6).
Freshman
Davis Adams shot a 2-over 74 in the second round. The Tribe rookie recorded three birdies, including two on the back nine to shoot a 1-under 35. He sits in a share of 39th after the opening 36 holes.
Graduate student
Matthew Feinstein carded a 4-over 76 on Monday and is in a share of 31st place at 151 (+7) through the first two rounds.
The Tribe will once again be paired with Elon and Delaware in the third and final round of the CAA Championships. The trio will tee of hole No. 1 beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
