Regaining Momentum
The Tribe had a strong start in conference play, sweeping three of their first four CAA weekends, but have fallen to .500 in recent weeks. Currently sixth in the standings, W&M looks to regain their momentum in order to remain in playoff contention.
The Tribe's 7-7 CAA record ties that of Stony Brook, UNCW and Charleston. The Green and Gold earned two wins against Charleston, fell in a pair to Stony Brook and will play UNCW on the road next weekend.
League Leader
Olivia Esposito is steadfast in the national rankings as she continues to display her dominance on the attack, clocking in at No. 21 in the NCAA in hitting percentage (.405). She's also ranked nationally at No. 65 in blocks per set (1.19). She leads the CAA in each category. Esposito also sits at fourth in the league in total blocks with 87.
Brick Wall at the Net
In conference play, senior middle blocker
Sabrina Malcolm has recorded a team-leading nine solo blocks among her 41 total blocks. Over the past four weekends of CAA play, Malcolm doubled her in-conference solo blocks, adding three against Elon alone. On the season, she leads the Tribe with 12 solo blocks and is second on the team in total blocks with 69.
Fearless Freshman
Freshman
Katherine Arnason has made herself a staple of the Tribe's offensive system, catching action in every set for the last four weekends and starting a pair of matches. In that time frame, Arnason has recorded 46 kills (1.70 per set) and nine blocks. The lefty right side has totaled 101 kills on the season, averaging 1.60 per set and is fourth on the team with 35 total blocks.
Series History
In a series that began with a 3-0 Tribe victory in November 1986, W&M trails Northeastern 10-25 all time. The Tribe have fallen in the 12 most recent meetings against the Huskies and look to snap the skid.
Playing as conference opponents since 2005, the Tribe have secured seven wins, five of which were in Williamsburg. W&M has hosted the Huskies 18 times in their long history as opponents, posting a 7-11 record at home.
The teams have met 10 times in the month of November, four matches have gone to the Green and Gold.
