GREENVILLE, S.C.—Charlie Bundy paced the William & Mary men's golf team at the Furman Intercollegiate with a 1-over 214 total. Bundy finished T-20, while the Tribe finished T-10 of 15 teams.
The event spanned Sunday and Monday at the Furman University Golf Course. W&M posted scores of 289-294-293.
Furman won the team title by one shot over Chattanooga at 20-under. Chattanooga's Paul Conroy posted 8-under to win the individual crown.
Bundy opened with a 3-under 68 on Sunday followed by an even-par 71 in the afternoon round. The sophomore sat T-9 after 36 holes before a final round 75 placed him T-20. The opening round gem was nearly flawless, with two birdies, an eagle and only one bogey.
Logan Hunter was consistent for the Green and Gold with scores of 72-73-72, totaling 4-over and landing him T-32. Hunter's 37 pars were tied for ninth most in the 87-player field.
Luke Walmet and
Jimmy Taylor posted T-64 and T-69 finishes respectively. Walmet finished with a 224 total (75-75-74), with Taylor (74-75-76) one shot behind him.
Preston Burton posted his best round of the event on Monday, closing out with a 72. He put up scores of 80-76 in the first two rounds, finishing T-77.
The Tribe will round out their fall season at UNCG's event this upcoming weekend in Browns Summit, N.C.
