REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.—The William & Mary women's golf team finished off the fall portion of their 2023-24 schedule on Saturday and Sunday at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational hosted by Delaware.
The Tribe finished in eighth out of 11 teams with a three-round total of 931 (308-311-312). Harvard took the title over Penn by six shots thanks to a final round 8-under 280. Delaware's Alisa Khokhlova was the individual champ at 2-under.
Simone Senk was the pace setter for the Tribe coming off a career-best finish at Charleston last week. Senk posted matching 77's in all three rounds for W&M to finish in 28
th place out of 66 players.
Mary Grace Dunigan was one shot behind Senk at 16-over for the event. Dunigan posted a team-best 76 in the final round on Sunday after matching 78's the first day. Her Sunday round included navigating Rehoboth Beach Country Club's back-nine in 1-over 37. She finished T-29 for the event.
Avery Thompson posted the best score of the tournament for the Tribe in the first round with a 3-over 75. Thompson played the front side in even par in the tournament's first round and shot 39 on the back. She finished tied for 36
th after scores of 78 and 83 the last two rounds.
Mikah McDonnell also had a pair of 78's on Saturday for W&M before posting 81 in round three. Her 21-over total slotted her T-40.
Freshman
Katie Suk rounded out the lineup for the Green and Gold, posting scores of 80-83-78 to finish T-50.
