SCOUTING THE TRIBE WOMEN
The Tribe women advanced to 2-0 on the season, taking down defending CAA champion UNCW, 167-95, in their first home meet of the season on Oct. 14.
With impressive outings in their first two meets, the Tribe women have set nine combined pool records, including five at home. Most recently, the 200 medley relay team set a pool record with their 1:42.26 finish, also good for a dual-meet record, and the 400 free relay team's 3:25.89 time beat the previous Rec Center mark.
Sophia Heilen was named the CAA Women's Swimmer of the Week following her performance against UNCW where she set three individual pool and dual-meet records in the 200 fly, 200 IM and 200 breast. The 2022 CAA Rookie of the Year has earned wins in every individual event she has competed in for a strong start in 2023.
Senior
Kat Vanbourgondien has three individual wins over the two meets. Freshman
Lauren Tucker earned her second women's 1,000 free-victory in as many meets, with a 10:21.57 time against UNCW.
SCOUTING THE TRIBE MEN
The Tribe men have a 1-1 record after opening the season with a win at Johns Hopkins but dropping last weekend's contest to the defending CAA champion UNCW men. The Green and Gold look to pick up their first conference win of the season.
Gavin Lamoureux picked up two individual wins against UNCW, sweeping the fly events.
Thor Dyke started his freshman campaign off strong, adding a victory in the 1,000 free to his pair of wins in the 200 fly and 500 free from opening weekend.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Towson arrives at W&M from Old Dominion, where they competed on Friday. Entering the weekend, both the men's and women's teams were 2-0, picking up wins against La Salle and George Mason at home.
Towson's Brian Benzing was named the CAA Men's co-Swimmer of the Week after the first weekend of competition, helping Towson to two wins in their first week, and posting a time of 53.32 in the 100 breast against George Mason, the fifth-fastest in the nation

Towson leads the series on the women's side with a 6-14 record all time. The teams split the previous two meetings, with the Tigers taking a 163-131 win in the most recent appearance, but the Tribe have secured a victory in each of the last three meets in Williamsburg.
