WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Riding a four-match unbeaten streak, William & Mary women's soccer opens a four-match homestand with a pair of Colonial Athletic Association matches this week at the friendly confines of Martin Family Stadium at Albert-Daly Field. The Tribe (5-4-2, 1-0-1 CAA) welcomes defending league regular season champion UNCW (5-4-1, 1-1 CAA) on Thursday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m., before hosting Charleston (7-4, 1-1 CAA) on Sunday, Oct. 2, for a noon kick. Both matches will be broadcast on FloFC.
The Tribe opened CAA play with an impressive 1-0-1 trip to Long Island last week. After
a 1-1 draw at Stony Brook on Thursday, freshman
Ivey Crain scored twice to lift W&M to a 2-0 win at Hofstra on Sunday. Crain scored all three Tribe goals during the week and in the process
was named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week. She
was also voted the W&M Student-Athlete of the Week presented by the Virginia Lottery by the Tribe fanbase. Junior
Elaina Longjohn assisted on all three goals, her first three career assists, during the week and along with Crain was named to the
honorable mention list for Top Drawer Soccer's National Team of the Week.
