WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Women's soccer freshman
Ivey Crain was named the William & Mary Student-Athlete of the Week presented by the Virginia Lottery on Tuesday.
Crain was voted as this week's award winner by the Tribe fanbase via social media polls on both the @TribeAthletics Twitter and Instagram accounts. Women's golfer Sarah Houle, field hockey student-athlete Aidan Rossman and volleyball's Eleanor Stothoff were also honored as finalists for the weekly award.
Crain helped the Tribe to a 1-0-1 start to CAA play in two matches on Long Island. She scored the lone W&M goal in a 1-1 draw at Stony Book, before scoring in both halves of the Tribe's 2-0 victory at Hofstra.
For her efforts, Crain was named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week. She was also selected to Top Drawer Soccer's National Team of the Week honorable mention list. Crain leads W&M with six goals, which also ranks third in the CAA and tops among league rookies.
