GRASONVILLE, MD. – William & Mary freshman Emma Lu led the Tribe on the opening day of the Prospect Bay Intercollegiate and sits in the top 10. As a team, the Tribe is fifth after firing back-to-back 321s during the opening two rounds on Saturday.
 
Dartmouth leads the event at 618 (+42) and is three shot ahead of Penn (625) and Quinnipiac (625). Dartmouth's Katherine Sung holds the individual lead after two rounds following a 6-over par 150.
 
Lu fired the two best rounds of the day for the Green and Gold. She shot an opening round 77 and followed with a 79 in round two that featured a trio of birdies. Lu is seeking her second-straight top 10 performance and is in a share of eighth after a 36-hole score of 156 (+12).
 
Senior Sarah Houle and juniors Mikah McDonnell and Cindy Zhou are separated by just two strokes and each sit in the top 30. Houle is in a share of 20th place at 161 (+17), while McDonnell is one shot behind her in 24th at 162 (+18). Zhou is in a share of 29th at 163 (+19).
 
Senior Stefanie Guizar Diaz rounds out the Tribe lineup in a share of 55th after two round behind a 169 (+25).
 
The Tribe closes out play at the Prospect Bay Intercollegiate on Sunday with the third and final round.
