WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Sophomore
Keeley Suzenski earned top marks for the Green & Gold in the Dan Stimson Memorial Meet on Saturday.
In the shot put Suzenski finished first for the Tribe with 14.10 meters and won in the hammer throw with a mark of 51.18 meters. The Fleetwood, Pa., native, rounded out the afternoon placing first in the discus at 45.40 meters.
Field Events:
- In the shot put sophomore Chelsea Mitchell cleared a mark of 13.70 meters.
- Sophomore Ellie St. Martin won first place at 1.61 meters in the high jump, while sophomore Liliana Klemanski finished second overall at 1.56 meters.
- In the long jump sophomore, Megan Heidebrecht jumped 5.49 meters and Mitchell finished with 5.26 meters.
- Over the hammer throw, senior Eva Mustafic finished second overall with 50.92 meters.
- Sophomore Zoe Metzger finished first in the javelin with a toss of 35.80 meters.
- In the pole vault, both freshman Sophie Fernandez and sophomore Olesya Sitkowski both cleared a mark of 3.55 meters.
- Finishing it up for the field events Wallace placed third in the discus throw, while sophomore Kristen Herr cleared a mark of 37.71meters.
Running Events:
- Kicking it off for the running events freshman Annika Griggs finished the 2000m Steeplechase at 7:40.93.
- In the 4x100 meter relay team of freshman Anna Kessler, freshman Emily Ervin, sophomore Mary Gregory, and Mitchell finished first with a combined time of 46.77. The time now ties for second in school history.
- Freshman Lucy Young finished second overall in the 1500 meter at 4:44.89, while sophomore Annie Wicker placed in the top three at a time of 4:51.03.
- Sophomore Amaya Johnson won first place in the 400 meters at 56.92 and sophomore Grace Bir finished second at 58.1.
- In the 800 meter Young finished second overall at 2:20.78, while sophomore Lillian Stephens placed third with 2:21.78.
- For the 400 meter hurdles, sophomore McKenzie Joiner finished first for the Green & Gold in third at 1:05.08.
- In the 200 meter dash, Gregory and Ervin both finished at 24.47.
- Freshman Arianna DeBoer finished first overall in 3000 meters at 10:05.98
