WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Women's track and field freshman
Emily Ervin was named the William & Mary Student-Athlete of the Week presented by the Virginia Lottery on Tuesday.
Ervin earned the honor after a prolific performance at the Navy select on Feb., 18. She set the school freshmen record in the 60-meter dash.
Ervin placed second in the event at 7.78 and surpassed the time of 7.83 set earlier this season.
This marks the second school record Ervin has claimed in her young colligate career. Ervin also topped her own freshmen school record in the 200-meter at 24.96., at the eighth annual Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational, Feb.,13.
