WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary women's golf wraps up the fall season when it travels to the Lady Blue Hen Invitational, Oct. 15-16, at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club.
The Tournament
The Rehoboth Beach Country Club will play par 72 and 6,169 yards. The teams will play 36 holes on Saturday beginning at 8:30 a.m., before the final 18 on Sunday. Joining the Tribe and Delaware in the 12-team event are Bucknell, Dartmouth, Delaware State, Harvard, Navy, Penn, Quinnipiac, Seton Hall, St. John's and Youngstown State. Cindy Zhou (playing as an individual) and freshmen

Avery Thompson. The Tribe will be paired with Navy and St. John's in the opening two reounds.

- The Tribe fired its best scores over the final two rounds culminating in the 15th-best 54-hole team total in school history (894 / +42) in finishing ninth at the Edisto Island Invitational. After a difficult opening round, the Tribe fired back-to-back rounds that ranked among the program's best 25. W&M shot a 9-over 293 in round two and followed it up with a 7-over 291. The ladder was the 12th-best 18-hole team score in school history.
- Freshman
Simone Senk fired the best 18-hole score for the Tribe at the Edisto Island Invitational, shooting a 1-under 70, her first career round under par, in round two. Classmate
Avery Thompson posted back-to-back 1-over 72s in rounds two and three.
- Graduate student
Sarah Houle led the Tribe at each of the first three events of the fall and posted top-5 performances in all three events. She was fifth at the William & Mary Fall Invitational, before earning runner-up honors at the Elon Invitational. Last week, Houle carded a final round 1-over 73 to earn a share of fourth at the Navy Fall Invitational. She owns six career top-5 finishes and 10 career top-10s. Both those numbers rank seventh in school history.
- The Tribe finished as the runner-up at the Elon Invitational on Sept. 20. W&M fired the second-best 54-hole scoring mark in school history, behind an 875 (+23). The Green and Gold posted the third-best 36-hole total (585 +17) and sixth-best single-round total (290 +6) at the event.
- Freshman
Grace Lu posted the best 54-hole total for a Tribe rookie in program history on the way to a top-5 performance at the Elon Invitational, Sept. 19-20. She carded a 2-over 215, which also ranked as the 14th-best 54-hole score in school history. Her 36-hole score was the best for a freshman in school history at 1-under 141.
