Women's Cross Country Travels to Panorama Farms on Saturday

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary women's cross country heads to Earlysville, Va. this weekend to take part in the Virginia XC23 Invitational on Saturday at Panorama Farms.

The women's race features 18 teams and is slated to begin at 11 a.m. The men's race will start at 10 a.m. 

The Tribe finished sixth at last last year's race, led by Arianna DeBoer who placed 15th.

News and Notes
- The Tribe improved to a season-best No. 13 in the USTFCCCA Southeast Region Rankings released on Oct. 3. Rankings were not released this week. 
 
- W&M topped six regionally-ranked foes, including Richmond, on the way to finishing 27th at the Paul Short Run on Sept. 30. The stacked field featured six teams either in the national rankings or receiving votes and a total of 32 regionally-ranked squads. 
 
- Freshmen Sofia Istnick and sophomore Arianna DeBoer led the way at Paul Short, placing in the top 100. Istnick paced the Green and Gold with a 92nd-place showing in a field of 416. DeBoer also recorded a top 100th finish, placing 99th in a time of 20:52.6. 
 
- It was a youth movement for William & Mary at Paul Short. The Tribe lineup for the challenging event featured five true freshmen and five sophomores.
