Earlysville, Va. - William & Mary women's cross country finished sixth at the XC23 Virginia Invitational on Friday morning at Panorama Farms.
Freshman
Arianna DeBoer finished first of the Tribe in 15th position, with her fastest time this year at 18:02.6. Sophomore
Kyra Holland came in 22nd, crossing the line in 18:16.7.
Freshmen
Lucy Young and
Annika Griggs took third and fourth for the team coming in 35th (18:39.3) and 37th (18:50.5), respectively.
Sophomore
Molly Coyle rounded out the top five in the 40th position at 19.00.7 and sophomore
Emily Sell followed behind in the 41st at 19.03.9.
Junior
Megan Kolbe placed 59th at 20.13.6 and sophomore
Olivia Haller finished in 60th position at 20:20.5.
Rounding out the Tribe lineup, sophomore
Emily Morris finished in 61st position at 20:23.1 and sophomore
Anna Cestari took the 67th position at 21:24.0.
Yale won the event with a team score of 32 followed by Virginia (58), George Washington (72), Eastern Kentucky (84) and Miami (119). The Tribe placed sixth with a team score of 142.
W&M harriers will be back in action in two weeks, traveling to Boston, Mass., to compete in the first fall CAA Championships of the year on Friday, Oct. 30.
