WILLIAMSBURG, VA. - The William & Mary men's and women's swimming teams will face Johns Hopkins this Saturday in the Bee McLeod Recreation Center. The meet will mark the first home event for the Tribe teams this season.
Both Tribe teams were off last weekend after dropping season opening decisions at UNCW to begin the season. Johns Hopkins men and women both enter the weekend 1-1 with wins over UMBC and losses to Delaware.
The William & Mary women's team will look to replicate a 172-90 win over Johns Hopkins last season. The Tribe men's team will look to bounce back after falling to the Blue Jays last October. The men have never lost to Hopkins in two previous meetings in Williamsburg.
In the season-opening meet,
Annie Tuttle was dominant with convincing wins in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events. Freshman
Sophia Heilen swept both butterfly events and finished second to
Ellie Scherer in the 200 IM.
Senior
Kyle Demers and freshman
Brock Rempe both had a second and third place finish in the season-opener. Connor Sokolowski finished third in the 200 IM while
Owen Miller had a third place finish in the 500 free.
