Swimming Breaks Four Pool Records in Split with George Washington

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary swimming broke four Rec Center pool records in a dual meet split with George Washington on Saturday afternoon. The women's team won 174-87 while the men fell 153-108.

Haley Lehman broke a pool record in the 200 free, finishing in 1:49.41 as she placed first. Lehman also added a victory in the 500 free with a time of 4:56.89.

In the 100 back, Grace McCardle broke the Rec Center record with a time of 53.69, which placed her in the top-10 in school history. The junior also led off for the 400 free relay team that posted a pool-record time of 3:21.91, alongside teammates Lehman, Carly Frank, and Flynn Truskett.

In the 200 breast, Kaitlyn Conover-Emmert posted the fastest facility time ever as she finished in 2:15.20.

The Tribe scooped up wins in numerous individual events. Lauren Tucker won the women's 1000 free with a time of 10:10.53. A pair of freshmen captured victories in the 100 breast, with Nelli Sandor (1:04.48) and Kyle Spaman (55.79) pacing the field.

W&M also swept the 50 free as Tucker led the women with a time of 23.24, while Aiden Bond had the winning time for the men at 20.16. Bond also won the 100 free with a time of 44.48.

In the 200 back, Julie Addison registered a victory with her time of 1:57.52. The women's 200 medley relay also placed first after clocking in at 1:40.58.

The Tribe heads to Annapolis, Md. on Saturday, Oct. 10 where it will take on Navy and UMBC.
