#25 Field Hockey Heads Back to the Road for Two CAA Matches

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — No. 25 William & Mary field hockey packs its bags this weekend as the Green and Gold look to get back in the win column with a pair of CAA road matches. The Tribe squares off against Northeastern at 4 p.m. on Friday before heading to Long Island for a 1 p.m. tilt at Hofstra on Sunday. Both games will be broadcast on FloLive.

W&M played its fifth extra-time game of the season last Sunday, falling 1-0 to Drexel in OT at Busch Field. The loss came on the heels of Friday's 3-2 home setback against reigning league champion Delaware. Senior Lauren Curran scored her team-leading eighth goal of the season against the Blue Hens, while sophomore Pyper Friedman found the back of the cage for the first time this fall.

Junior goalkeeper Maddie George shined between the pipes all weekend, making highlight-reel-worthy plays as she racked up 11 total saves in the two games. Her 79 saves, 1.326 goals against average, and .814 save percentage this season currently rank second in the CAA.

William & Mary, which owns three wins over top-20 teams this fall, earned a national ranking for the sixth straight week, coming in at No. 25 on Tuesday.
