RICHMOND, Va.- Callia Uviedo and Alexandra de Jesus claimed CAA Weekly Awards, the league office announced on Monday afternoon. Uviedo was tabbed the conference's rookie of the week, while de Jesus was named defensive player of the week.

Both players played an integral role in the Tribe's 5-0 victory over Hofstra on Friday. The dominant win marked the program's largest margin of victory in a CAA contest since Oct. 6, 2018.

Uviedo added the fourth goal of the game deflecting in a long pass from Mackinzie Brown into the cage at the 48:11 mark.

The Annandale, Va., native earns CAA Rookie of the Week for the second time this season (Oct. 5). On the year, the midfielder has registered two goals and two assists (six points). Additionally, the freshman has recorded 15 shots, which ranks second on the team.

de Jesus recorded her first solo shutout of the season against the Pride. The senior made five saves to hold Hofstra scoreless in Hempstead, N.Y.
