Zachary Hosseinian Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary men's soccer junior Zachary Hosseinian was selected to the Academic All-District® First Team, selected by CoSIDA.

Recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom, the CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and the NAIA. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early July.

Hosseinian sports a near perfect grade point average, majoring in business analytics and date science. On the field, the Leesburg, Va., native started all five matches in which he played this season and has started 17 of his 28 career appearances at the back position. Hosseinian is a three-time CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll selection and a three-time Provost Award winner.

The Tribe junior was one of six CAA men's soccer players to be named to the all-district first team and joins UNCW's Jacob Evans on the top team in district 3. Hosseinian is the 14th Tribe player since 2003 to earn a spot on the all-district team. William & Mary is in district 3, which includes all Division I teams in the states of North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
