The William & Mary women's golf team wrapped up the 2021 Colonial Athletic Association Championships with its best team round of the season on Tuesday, shooting 304 (+16) in the round to finish the championships sixth overall at 951 (+87).  James Madison won the team title and automatic NCAA bid at 897 (+33), five strokes ahead of the College of Charleston.  The Dukes also had the individual winner in Kendall Turner, whose third-round 71 (-1) was enough to give her a one-stroke win at 220 (+4) overall.

W&M junior Sarah Houle (Sandy Hook Conn.) wrapped up her week with the Tribe's best round of the championships, 73 (+1), and improved one spot to a tie for seventh overall at 227 (+11).  Her season average of 76.27 is 12th-best all-time in program history, and her 237-31 (.884) head-to-head record this spring is third-highest ever.  Grad student Allison Olberding (West Des Moines, Iowa) carded a 75 in the final round, her best of the week, to move up to a tie for 24th overall at 240 (+24) for the tournament.  Olberding's five-year career for the Green & Gold included a 77.43 average in 97 rounds played, the fourth-best scoring average ever.

Sophomore Cindy Zhou (Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada) also record a big improvement in the round, shoot a tournament-best 79 (+7) to improve to 26th overall and a score of 246 (+30).  Zhou averaged 79.67 strokes in her 12 rounds this season, second-lowest on the team.  Redshirt-junior Stefanie Guizar Diaz (Clearwater, Fla.) finished tied for 28th overall at 248 (+32), and averaged 81.60 in her first season with the Tribe.  Rounding out the line-up was sophomore Mikah McDonnell (Webster, N.Y.), who shot her best round of the tournament on Tuesday with a 77 (+5), and improved to 32nd overall at 252 (+36).  McDonnell played in 10 rounds this season, averaging 80.60 for the year.
