WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary women's basketball team will return home to host Old Dominion University Sunday, Dec. 5. Tip-off time between the Tribe and the Monarchs is set for 2 p.m. Sunday's game will be streamed on

- The Tribe will face Old Dominion for the 97th time in series history Sunday afternoon in Kaplan Arena. The 97 all-time meetings between the two schools makes the Monarchs William & Mary's third most played rival behind Richmond (114) and VCU (122). In last season's sesaon-opening loss to ODU,
Sydney Wagner led the Tribe with 14 points and four assists.

Bre Bellamy,
Dani McTeer, and
Rebekah Frisby-Smith lead the team with seven points per player.

Ava Stevenson both contributed six.
- True freshman
Ruthie Montella made her second career start in Thursday's loss. Montella played 26 minutes and scored seven points to go with three assists and four rebounds. The guard has been strong with the ball with 16 total assists this season and better than a 3:1 assist to turnover ratio. Montella is the second freshman to start this season, as
Dani McTeer has started all seven games this year.
- The Tribe has held two opponents to under 50 points so far this season. Under head coach
Ed Swanson, the Tribe has held opponents to under 50 points in 29 games and are 28-1 in those contests.

Bre Bellamy put in another solid effort, filling the stat sheet Thursday evening. Bellamy tied for the lead in scoring with seven points and led the team with eight rebounds and three steals. The game marked the third time this season that Bellamy has led the Tribe in scoring and the third game in a row that she has been the team's leading rebounder. Bre ranks 15th in the NCAA and second in the league shooting 61.4% from the field.
- The Tribe has had a fierce defense through seven games this season. Holding opponents to just 54.7 points per contest, the Tribe ranks second in the league and 46th in the nation. Swanson's club has been particularly strong defending the three, holding teams to a 20% mark from deep, to lead the CAA and rank eighth in the NCAA.
- Freshman
Ava Stevenson has scored at least six points in each of her four appearances this season. Stevenson has knocked down at least two field goals and one three pointer in all four games. The freshman is shooting 52.6 (10-19) from the field and 60% (6-10) from three.
- Freshman post player
Dani McTeer has gotten the start in each of the seven games this season and been one of Swanson's most consistent players. McTeer is averaging 8.4 points per game, third among all CAA freshmen and ranks first among all first-year players with 5.0 rebounds per game.
- William & Mary has shared the ball exceptionally well this season ranking second in the league (60 in the NCAA) with 111 total assists. The Tribe is racking up just under 16 assists per game, good for second in the CAA and 57th nationally. On the defensive side of the ball, the Tribe is forcing 21 turnovers per game, the 40th best mark in the nation.
- W&M head coach Ed Swanson enjoyed a noteworthy 2019-20 season individually. He was named the CAA Co-Coach of the Year following the Tribe's historic season. Swanson won his 500th career game on Nov. 26, became just the third coach in W&M history to win 100 games with the Tribe on Jan. 12, and was inducted into the Northeast Conference Hall of Fame in January.
