WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary head coach Erin Dickerson Davis announced the signing of guard Denver Carlton to the Tribe's 2026-27 freshman class on Wednesday.

"We are so excited to announce the signing of Denver Carlton to our Tribe," Davis said. "In Denver, we are getting an athletic, scoring combo wing. She plays extraordinarily hard and knows what it takes to win. More than that, we are gaining a driven student-athlete, grounded in her faith and committed to leaving a lasting legacy at William & Mary both on and off the court. Our recruiting strategy has always been to make sure we root ourselves in our regional area, proving you don't have to go far from home to be a part of something truly special."

Carlton, a 5-foot-10 combo guard from Ashburn, Va., joins William & Mary from St. James Academy, where she developed into one of the region's top prospects. A four-year letterwinner, Carlton showcased her versatility on both ends of the floor throughout her high school career, including averaging 24 points per game as a junior while adding four rebounds, two assists, three steals and three blocks per contest.

She also starred on the AAU circuit with Team Durant, competing for three seasons and helping lead the Nike EYBL 15U team to a championship. Carlton later emerged as Team Durant's leading scorer at the 16U level, averaging 16 points per game, and posted a standout 24-point performance against CyFair during Nike EYBL Session 3 in Louisville.

A standout in the classroom as well, Carlton plans to major in pre-med at William & Mary. She earned Honor Roll recognition during her high school career and will bring a strong academic background to Williamsburg.
