Women's Basketball Finalizes 2026-27 Roster

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary women's basketball head coach Erin Dickerson Davis announced the Tribe's 2026-27 roster on Tuesday.

The roster features 11 returners and two newcomers as William & Mary looks to build on a successful 2025-26 campaign. The Tribe finished 17-14 overall and 9-9 in Coastal Athletic Association play, advancing to the CAA Championship Quarterfinals after earning the No. 8 seed. William & Mary also led the conference in home attendance and averaged 1,081 fans per game, the second-highest average in program history.

"We are incredibly excited about the upcoming season and the opportunity to continue building on the momentum of our program," Davis said. "In this era of the transfer portal, retaining experience, continuity and a strong foundation within your culture is invaluable. To return so much talent and leadership in one of the most competitive leagues in the country speaks volumes about the commitment of our players and the belief they have in what we are building at William & Mary.

"Our returning group brings a tremendous amount of experience, growth and hunger, and we are excited about the standard they will continue to set for our program. We are also thrilled to welcome two incoming freshmen who we believe have the talent, competitiveness and mindset to make an immediate impact. They are joining a special group and will have the opportunity to contribute right away.

Senior guard Cassidy Geddes headlines the returning group after earning All-CAA Second Team honors and being named the CAA Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2025-26. Geddes led the Tribe in scoring at 13.7 points per game and became the 23rd player in program history to reach 1,000 career points. Fellow senior Monet Dance also returns after averaging 9.5 points and a team-best 104 assists per game, while junior forward Natalie Fox started all 31 games and averaged 9.3 points and a team-high 5.9 rebounds per contest.

William & Mary returns four of its top five scorers from last season, including Geddes, Dance, Fox and sophomore forward Dynasti Pierce. The Tribe also welcomes freshmen guards Denver Carlton and Skyla Mastronardi, who join the program after standout high school careers.

2026-27 William & Mary Women's Basketball Roster

No. 0 – Denver Carlton | Guard | Freshman | 5-10 | Ashburn, Va.

Carlton joins the Tribe from St. James Academy in Ashburn, Va., where she was a four-year letterwinner and developed into one of the region's top prospects. The 5-foot-10 guard averaged 24 points per game as a junior while contributing four rebounds, two assists, three steals and three blocks per contest. Carlton also competed for three seasons with Team Durant on the Nike EYBL circuit, helping the program win a 15U championship and leading the 16U team in scoring at 16 points per game. She plans to major in pre-med at William & Mary and earned Honor Roll recognition throughout her high school career.

No. 1 – Cassidy Geddes | Guard | Senior | 5-7 | Hickory, N.C.

Geddes returns for her senior season after earning All-CAA Second Team honors and being named the CAA Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2025-26. She started all 31 games and led the Tribe in scoring at 13.7 points per game while adding 77 assists and 58 steals. Geddes became the 23rd player in program history to reach 1,000 career points during the season and also earned CSC Academic All-District, CAA Academic Honor Roll High Honors and W&M Provost Award recognition. A three-year contributor, she has appeared in 95 games with 81 starts and was a member of the CAA All-Rookie Team in 2023-24.

No. 2 – Monet Dance | Guard | Senior | 5-3 | Roswell, Ga.

Dance returns for her senior season after starting all 31 games in 2025-26 and averaging 9.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists per contest. She finished second on the team with 104 assists and added 55 steals, ranking among the CAA leaders in both categories while placing fifth in the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio. Dance earned CAA Player of the Week honors during the season and has appeared in 90 games with 63 starts during her Tribe career. She was also named to the CAA All-Tournament Team during William & Mary's 2024-25 CAA Championship run.

No. 3 – Jordyn Steindl | Guard | Sophomore | 5-8 | State College, Pa.

Steindl enters her sophomore season after missing the 2025-26 campaign due to injury. Prior to arriving in Williamsburg, she scored more than 1,000 career points during her high school career at State College Area High School and Western Reserve Academy. Steindl was a two-time Miss Pennsylvania Basketball nominee, a multi-time Mid-Penn All-Conference First Team selection and earned All-Tournament Team honors at the National Prep Championship. She also helped Team Takeover win a Nike 15U National Championship.

No. 4 – Ari Mercado | Guard | Sophomore | 5-5 | Brooklyn, N.Y.

Mercado returns for her sophomore season after appearing in 24 games as a freshman in 2025-26. She averaged 2.0 points per game while shooting 90% from the free throw line and added 19 rebounds, nine assists and 13 steals. Mercado scored a career-high nine points at UNCW and earned CAA Academic Honor Roll Honors during her first collegiate season. Prior to William & Mary, she was the all-time leading scorer at East New York Family Academy with more than 2,000 career points.

No. 5 – Skyla Mastronardi | Guard | Freshman | 5-10 | Hagerstown, Md.

Mastronardi arrives in Williamsburg after a standout career at Smithsburg High School, where she scored more than 1,000 career points as a four-year letterwinner. The 5-foot-10 guard was a two-time WCAA Player of the Year, a three-time All-WCAA First Team selection and earned WCAA Defensive Player of the Year honors. As a junior, she averaged 17.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.9 steals per game. Mastronardi also played on the AAU circuit with Team Thrill and excelled in the classroom as a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society.

No. 7 – Dynasti Pierce | Forward | Sophomore | 6-0 | Smithfield, Va.

Pierce appeared in 25 games and made nine starts during her freshman season in 2025-26. She averaged 3.9 points and 3.4 rebounds in 17.2 minutes per game while totaling 84 rebounds on the year. Pierce recorded a career-high 14 points at N.C. A&T and led the Tribe in scoring twice during her first collegiate campaign. Prior to William & Mary, she earned Bay Rivers District and Region 3A Player of the Year honors at Lafayette High School.

No. 10 – Marley Long | Forward | Junior | 6-2 | Washington, D.C.

Long returns for her junior season after appearing in 28 games and making 10 starts in 2025-26. She averaged 3.4 points and 3.0 rebounds per game while starting each of the Tribe's final eight contests. Long recorded her first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds at UNCW and scored a career-high 11 points in a win over Towson. A two-year contributor, she has appeared in 54 career games and was part of William & Mary's 2024-25 CAA Championship team.

No. 13 – Sophia LeGoullon | Forward | Junior | 6-1 | Bedford, N.H.

LeGoullon enters her junior season after appearing in 18 games with two starts in 2025-26. She averaged 1.9 points and 1.4 rebounds per game and matched her career high with seven points on two occasions. Over her first two seasons in Williamsburg, LeGoullon has appeared in 46 games and was a member of the Tribe's 2024-25 CAA Championship team. Prior to William & Mary, she earned Adidas All-America honors and was a Lakes Region All-Star at Tilton School.

No. 15 – Amelia Basit | Forward | Sophomore | 6-1 | Suwanee, Ga.

Basit returns for her sophomore season after appearing in 17 games as a freshman in 2025-26. She averaged 1.5 points and 1.5 rebounds per contest while recording a career-high seven points at Elon and a career-best eight rebounds at Campbell. Basit earned CAA Academic Honor Roll Honors during her first collegiate season. Prior to William & Mary, she helped lead Saint Francis High School to back-to-back Georgia state championships and averaged a double-double as a senior.

No. 21 – Natalie Fox | Forward | Junior | 6-4 | LaGrangeville, N.Y.

Fox returns as one of the Tribe's top frontcourt players after starting all 31 games in 2025-26. She averaged 9.3 points and a team-best 5.9 rebounds per game while adding 25 blocks and recording 13 double-figure scoring performances. Fox posted a 20-point, 12-rebound double-double against Hampton and earned CSC Academic All-District, CAA Academic Honor Roll High Honors and W&M Provost Award recognition. Through her first two seasons, Fox has appeared in 58 games with 41 starts.

No. 23 – Aisha Dos Santos | Forward | Senior | 6-1 | São Bernardo, Brazil

Dos Santos returns for her senior season after appearing in four games during her first year with the Tribe in 2025-26. Prior to William & Mary, she spent two seasons at Odessa College, where she played in 60 games and helped the Wranglers compile a 49-14 record. As a sophomore in 2024-25, Dos Santos averaged 6.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game while making 19 starts and shooting 88% from the free throw line.

No. 24 – Emma West | Guard | Junior | 5-10 | Great Falls, Va.

West enters her junior season after appearing in eight games during the 2025-26 campaign. She recorded nine rebounds on the year, including a career-high five boards at Elon, and earned CAA Academic Honor Roll Honors. Over her first two seasons, West has appeared in 28 games and was a member of the Tribe's 2024-25 CAA Championship team. Prior to William & Mary, she earned First Team ISL and DSCAA All-State honors at Georgetown Visitation and was named MVP of the She Got Game Classic.
