WILMINGTON, N.C.- Through the first session of the CAA pod meet the William & Mary women's swim team has had a variety of impressive performances. The team opened up the meet with a win in the 200 free relay.
Missy Cundiff started things out for the Tribe swimming a 22.84 opening leg.
Katie Stevenson,
Sydney Querner, and
Brooke Lamoureux were able to just out touch James Madison for the first win of the day.
Cundiff got her second victory of the day, swimming a 23.05 time in the 50 free, nearly a full second faster than the competition. The Tribe finished the session with a win in the 400 medley relay as
Kat Vanbourgondien,
Annie Tuttle,
Corinne Davenport, and Stevenson beat out UNCW for the first place finish.
On the men's side,
Graham Hertweck swam a 20.88 just being touched out for a second place finish.
Owen Miller had a fourth place finish in the 1,650 freestyle and
Micah Lowe,
Cole Younger,
Noah Fields, and
Diego Cruzado finished fourth in the 400 medley relay.
The teams will be back in the water later this afternoon before finishing the meet Sunday morning.
