GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior Sarah Houle sits in the top five and William & Mary women's tennis is fourth after the opening two rounds of the Grandover Fall Classic.
 
The Tribe shot 303 (+15) in the opening round before following with a 313 (+25) in round two to sit a +40 (616) after the first 36 holes. ETSU leads the 12-team event at 588 (+12) followed by South Dakota (608) and Towson (612).
 
Houle holds the fifth spot after the first two rounds, shooting a four-over par 148, just four shots off the lead. She fired an opening-round 72 that included a sizzling 4-under par 32 on the back nine. She enjoyed an impressive sequence of birdie-birdie-eagle on No. 11, No. 12 and No. 13 as part of the back nine. Houle, who was one of four players to record an eagle in the opening two rebounds, shot a team-best 76 in round two, adding two more birdies.
 
Freshmen Isabel Bae carded a 154 (+10) through the opening two rounds and sits in 15th place. She ranks second among all players with 24 pars through the first 36 holes.
 
Fellow rookie Emma Lu is tied for the tournament lead with seven birdies. She is 28th after two rounds following back-to-back 79s.
 
Junior Mikah McDonnell is just one stroke behind Lu in 30th place. She shot a two-round 159 (+15) and leads the event with 25 pars.
 
Junior Cindy Zhou rounded out the Tribe lineup in 52nd following a two-round 166 (+22).
 
The final round of the Grandover Fall Classic tees off at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
