EDISTO, S.C. - The William & Mary women's golf team wrapped up the Edisto Island Invitational on Tuesday, shooting a 304 (+20) to finish the tournament in 10th place overall at 908 (+56). College of Charleston continued its strong play, posting a 290 (+6) to win the tournament at 843 (-9) overall, beating Georgia Southern by 11 strokes. The individual winners were Viktoria Hund and Emma Schimpf, both of the College of Charleston, who both shot a 208 (-5).
 
For the Tribe, junior Mikah McDonnell (Webster, N.Y.) ended the day with a 76 (+5), to finish with a 226 (+13) overall, tying for 36th place. Freshmen Isabel Bae (Bristow, Va.) shot a 74 (+3), her best round of the tournament, tying for 38th place to end with an overall total of 227 (+14).
 
Freshman Emma Lu (Shenzhen, China) finished her first collegiate tournament strong, shooting her best round of 75 (+4) to end one shot back of Bae at 228 (+15), tying for 41st place overall. Junior Cindy Zhou (Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada) and senior Sarah Houle (Sandy Hook, Conn.) tied for 48th place, both ending the tournament having shot a 230 (+17) overall. Redshirt senior Stefanie Guizar Diaz (Clearwater, Fla.) shot her best round of the tournament on the third day, a 78 (+7), to end with a 243 (+30) overall and finish the tournament in 63rd place.
 
The Tribe returns to action at the Grandover Invitational on Nov. 1-2 at the Grandover Resort East Course in Greensboro, N.C.
