WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – A trio of William & Mary players earned Virginia Sports Information Directors All-State honors, the organization announced on Tuesday. Senior Julian Ngoh was named to the All-State First Team, while freshmen Alfredo Bozalongo and Alexander Levengood garnered spots on the second team.
 
Ngoh garnered his first All-State honor after being an All-CAA Second Team selection earlier this season. He led the Tribe and ranked fourth in the CAA in goals (8) and points (18). Ngoh was fifth in the CAA with two game-winners. He twice registered a brace, including in the Tribe's 4-1 CAA quarterfinal win over Northeastern. Ngoh also notched a pair of goals in the victory over Delaware on Oct. 22. In the regular-season finale, he converted a second-half penalty kick in the Tribe's 3-2 upset win over No. 21-ranked James Madison on Nov. 2.
 
Along with earning All-State honors, Bozalongo was a Third Team All-CAA pick and recorded All-Rookie honors. He tallied all 10 of his points (2g, 6a) in CAA play, which ranked fifth in the league. Bozalongo was twice named the league's rookie of the week. He finished the year ranked second in the league in assists. He registered the only three-assist match in the CAA in 2019 in the win over Delaware on Oct. 22. He also assisted on the game-winner in the Tribe's upset of No. 21 JMU. The rookie midfielder tallied both of his goals off free kicks in the win over Elon, including the game-winner with 11 seconds remaining in the first OT period.
 
Levengood joined Bozalongo on the All-State Second Team after earning CAA All-Rookie team honors during the year. He started all 16 matches and ranked fifth in the league with seven goals and seventh in points with 15. He scored in each of the Tribe's final three games, including the second-half equalizer in W&M's 3-2 upset of No. 21-ranked JMU. He tallied a goal and an assist in the CAA quarterfinals vs. Northeastern and scored the Tribe's lone goal in the first half against No. 21 UNCW in the semifinals.
 
Virginia swept the 2019 VaSID Men's Soccer University Team major awards. Joe Bell was named VaSID Player of the Year, Andreas Ueland took home VaSID Rookie of the Year honors, and head coach George Gelnovatch was named the state coach of the year. Six state schools were represented on the all-state teams led by 11, which includes the major awards, from Virginia. James Madison had six players across both teams, William & Mary had three, Virginia Tech and VCU had two, and Radford had one.
 
VaSID names 37 all-state teams in 22 sports each year, as well as an Academic All-State squad and an all-sports champion in both the University and College Divisions. Membership in VaSID is open to all media relations professionals working at a university or conference in the state of Virginia.
