WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary men's tennis wrapped up the opening weekend of fall action at the Duke James Bonk Invitational and the Farnsworth-Ivy Plus Invitational on Sunday afternoon.
Junior
Finbar Talcott and sophomore
Daniel Pellerito highlighted the final day of competition posting a singles and a doubles win each at Princeton. The duo opened the day with an 8-4 win over Brown's Peter Litsky and Matthew Mu in the consolation side of the Rockefeller Bracket. It marked the pair's third win together over the last two years.
Talcott picked up his second win of the weekend topping Penn senior Dmitry Shatalin in straight sets, 7-5, 7-6 (6). Shatalin tallied 21 singles wins last season in the No. 23-ranked Quaker lineup. Talcott pushed his season mark to 2-1.
Pellerioto won his third-straight match to close out the weekend at 3-1. He claimed the opening set from Mu, 6-1, and led 3-0 in the second when the Brown freshman retired.
