WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary men's tennis continues its 2026 fall season this weekend at the Liberty Dual in Lynchburg, Va.

The three-day event runs Friday, Sept. 25, through Sunday, Sept. 27, at the Liberty Tennis Complex. The field includes William & Mary, host Liberty, Charlotte, Elon, Penn, Richmond, Virginia, VCU and UNCW.

The event will be contested in a hidden-dual format, with teams competing in traditional dual-style matches. Results will be recorded individually and will not count toward team dual-match records.

Eight Tribe players will compete this weekend, marking the first event of the fall featuring the majority of W&M's roster. Senior Nikita Bortnichek, sophomores Dylan Chou and Austin Cohen, senior Oliver Hague, fifth-year Connor Kruger, junior Theo Nilsson, freshman Omar Rhazali and junior Bryan Volk will represent the Tribe.

Bortnichek, Nilsson and Rhazali opened the fall at the Porter's Neck Invitational last weekend in Wilmington, N.C. Bortnichek posted a 2-1 singles record, while Nilsson went 1-1 and Rhazali finished 1-2.

Bortnichek and Rhazali also teamed to go 2-1 in doubles, earning a third-place finish in the Flight A draw. Bortnichek added a third-place finish in Flight A2 singles, while Nilsson took third in Flight C singles.

The Liberty Dual begins Friday with matches starting at 9 a.m. Competition continues Saturday with sessions at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. before concluding Sunday.

Following this weekend's action, W&M travels to Richmond, Va., for the River City Open, Oct. 2-4. The Tribe will then compete at the ITA Atlantic Region Championships in Blacksburg, Va., Oct. 8-12, before closing the fall season at home with the Tribe Fall Invite, Nov. 6-8.
