Tribe Continues Fall Season at River City Open

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary men's tennis continues its 2026 fall season this weekend at the River City Open in Richmond, Va.

The three-day event runs Friday, Oct. 2, through Sunday, Oct. 4. Singles and doubles action begins at 10:30 a.m. Friday.

Three Tribe players will compete this weekend, including sophomore Austin Cohen, fifth-year Connor Kruger and freshman Omar Rhazali.

Cohen enters the weekend with a 2-1 singles record this fall after winning two of his three matches at last weekend's Liberty Dual. He defeated Elon's Luke Forester, 6-3, 6-1, before rallying for a 6-0, 4-6, 6-4 victory over VCU's Yassin Wageh.

Kruger picked up his first singles victory of the fall at Liberty, defeating Charlotte's Noah Bayon, 6-4, 6-4. He also teamed with Oliver Hague for a 7-6 (4) doubles victory over Elon's Noah Gabriel and Nikola Parichkov.

Rhazali enters his third event of the fall with a 2-4 singles record. The Tribe freshman earned a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Elon's Nick Fisk last weekend and has posted a 4-2 doubles record through his first two collegiate events.

Kruger and Rhazali will team up in doubles at the River City Open, while all three Tribe players will compete in singles.

Following this weekend's action, W&M travels to Blacksburg, Va., for the ITA Atlantic Region Championships, Oct. 8-12, before closing the fall season at home with the Tribe Fall Invite, Nov. 6-8.
