WILLIAMSBURG, Va.  – The William & Mary women's golf team wraps up the fall season as it travels to the Hound Ears Intercollegiate on Monday, Oct. 14 and Tuesday, Oct. 15.
 
Scouting the Field
Appalachian State hosts the 36-hole event in Boone, N.C. on Monday and Tuesday. The event will be played at the Hound Ears Club, which plays as a par 72 that stretches 6,049-yards. Gardner-Webb, Longwood, Western Carolina, and Wofford join the Tribe and the Mountaineers in the event.
 
Scouting the Tribe
W&M looks to defend its 2018 Hound Ears Intercollegiate title on Monday and Tuesday. The Tribe shot a 630 (+54) in the 36-hole event last year to win. The Tribe has two top-five finishes this season and is averaging 305.33 stroke per round score this season.
 
Freshman Cindy Zhou leads the Tribe into its final fall event. She has gotten off to a great start to her career as she has two top-10 finishes with 74.89 stroke per round score. Senior Allison Olberding, who won the medalist honors at the Hound Ears Intercollegiate last season, owns a 75.78 stroke per round score this season.
 
Sophomore Sarah Houle is back in the lineup and has played in all three events, and has played in five rounds this season. She has posted a 75.40 stroke per round score this season. Junior Madison Braman, who has started every round this season, brings her 78.33 stroke per round score this season to the event.
 
Finally, freshman Mikah McDonnell rounds out the Tribe scoring lineup, and is back in the scoring lineup for the first time since the first event of the season. She averaged an 84.33 stroke per round score in her first three collegiate rounds.
 
What's Ahead
The Hound Ears Intercollegiate marks the end of the fall schedule for the Tribe women's golf team. The Green and Gold resumes its season on March 1-3, 2020 when it travels to the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate.
