RICHMOND, Va. – Junior Sebastian Quiros and freshman George Davis highlighted the William & Mary men's tennis effort with a pair of wins in the top singles flight at the River City Open on Saturday afternoon.
 
Davis evened his season ledger 4-4 with a pair of wins. He rallied for a three-set win over three-time All-Big South First Team selection Amadeo Blasco of Longwood, 3-6, 6-3, 10-2. He closed out the day with a 7-5, 6-3 straight-sets win over Richmond's Matt Fernandez.
 
Quiros notched his first two wins of the year, both in straight sets in the consolation side of the top flight. He topped ECU's Javier Renones, 6-3, 6-4, before taking down Charlotte's Ben Wayand, 6-3, 7-5.
 
In Flight C, sophomore Daniel Pellerito picked up his second three-set win in as many days. After falling in three sets in the quarterfinals, Pellerito rallied from a set deficit to register his team-leading fifth singles wins of the fall. After UR's Ricky Bell won the opening set, 7-5, the Tribe sophomore stormed back to take the final two, 6-1, 10-6.  
 
In doubles action, junior Finbar Talcott and Davis finished the River City Open at 2-1 thanks to a 7-5 triumph over Brant Fenno and Matthew Thomson of Wake Forest.
 
The River City Open wraps up on Sunday with action beginning at 8:30 a.m. at both the Collegiate School and the University of Richmond.
