WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Fresh off of a Colonial Athletic Assocaiton series victory, the William & Mary baseball team continues its seven-game road trip with a pair of mid-week contests this week. The Tribe will travel to Norfolk State on Tuesday, April 19 for a 5 p.m. game, before heading to No. 16 North Carolina for a Wednesday, April 20 6 p.m. affair.

• The Green and Gold is looking to move its winning streak to three games after taking a CAA road series at James Madison this past weekend.

SERIES HISTORY• The Tribe faces Norfolk State for the 35th time in series history on Tuesday night in Norfolk. It is the second of two meetings this season, as the W&M picked up a 10-6 victory in the game in Williamsburg on March 15.
• With the win earlier this season, the Tribe now leads the series 28-6. In the victory, sophomore
Cullen Large led the Tribe with three hits and four RBI, while senior
Charley Gould also had three hits, and RBI. Sophomore
Ryan Hall went 2-for-4 with two runs driven in.
• W&M will then meet North Carolina for just the seventh time in program history on Wednesday night in the Tar Heel state. UNC leads the all-time series 5-1. The last time the two teams met came in 2010, and it was the Tribe's lone victory in the series, a 3-0 victory.
• All seven games of the series have been played at North Carolina.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS • Norfolk State enters Tuesday's game after sweeping a league series against Maryland Eastern Shore at home over the weekend. The Spartans are currently 16-16 overall, but have posted a 10-4 mark in league play.
• NSU boasts a .272 team batting average through 32-games this season. Kyle Vass leads the team with a .360 batting average, adding nine doubles, two triples, three homers, and 25 RBI. Syeed Mahdi and Alex Mauricio lead the team with four homers, while Mahdi leads the team with 27 RBI.
• On the mound, Norfolk State has combined for 4.10 ERA this season. Matt Outman anchors the Spartan rotation with a 3.26 ERA, posting five victories, and 49 strikeouts. Michaael Parmentier leads the team with 15 appearances and two saves, while Devin Hemmerich leads the squad with 54 strikeouts.
• Claudell Clark is in his 12th season as the Spartan's headman. He has posted a 261-305-1 record during his tenure.

SCOUTING THE TAR HEELS • No. 16 North Carolina will be looking to rebound after dropping two of three over the weekend at ACC rival Virginia. The Tar Heels enter the week with a 25-11 record, but host Coastal Carolina on Tuesday night.
• For the year, UNC is batting .287. They are led individually by Tyler Ramirez, who is hitting .385 with eight doubles, two triples seven homers, and 35 RBI. Ramirez's RBI and homers lead the team. Eli Sutherland is second on the team with four homers and 32 RBI. • The Tar Heels boast one of the best pitching staffs in the nation with a 2.75 team ERA. Zac Gallen anchors the rotation with a 2.47 ERA, tossing 62 frames with 69 strikeouts. Spencer Trayner leads the team with 21 appearances, while Hansen Butler, Taylor Sugg, and A.J. Bogucki are tied each have a save for the team lead. J.B. Bukauskas leads UNC with 79 punchouts.
• Mike Fox is in his 33rd season at the helm of his alma mater. He has posted a 1,328-477-5 career mark during his time in Chapel Hill.
ON DECK• The road swing concludes as the Tribe travels north to visit Northeastern for a three-game series. That set gets underway Friday, April 22 at 3 p.m.
• William & Mary returns home for its final mid-week games as the team opens its second seven-game homestand against Liberty on Wednesday, April 27. First pitch between the Tribe and the Flames is set for 6 p.m.

SHEEHAN BODES WELL FOR THE TRIBE• Freshman
Bodie Sheehan has made his transition into the weekend rotation look seamless, so far. In his three weekend starts, he has posted a 5.23 ERA, tossing 20.2 innings, with 11 strikeouts, while opposing hitters are only batting .227 against him.
• Furthermore in his two CAA starts, he has just a 3.60 ERA, tossing 15 innings, fanning 11, while limiting opposing batters to a 2.2 batting average.
• For the season, Sheehan owns a 3-3 record with a 5.01 ERA, heaving 46.2 innings, with 24 strikeouts.

POWERED BY POWERS• For the second time this season, a Dan Powers start ended up as a Tribe shutout as the junior went a career-best 7.1 innings allowing just three hits as W&M took the series at James Madison. At Charlotte, Powers nearly did the same thing blanking the 49ers for the first seven innings.
• For his efforts last week, the Vienna, Va. native was named CAA Pitcher of the Week.
• Powers has a team-best five wins to go along with 24 strikeouts in 47.2 innings.

DOUBLING DOWN• W&M again is up in the national statistical rankings in doubles and doubles per game. The Tribe ranks 26th in the NCAA with 78 doubles, and 24th with 2.2 doubles a game.

• The most runs W&M has scored an inning this season has been 7 on April 3 against Georgetown, but the Tribe has also scored six runs an inning four times this season.Â

Josh Smith has had some flair for the dramatic this season with both of the Tribe's walk-off hits this season. Against Holy Cross he lifted a sacrifice fly to centerfield that scored
Kyle Wrighte on a sacrifice fly. On Saturday against Georgetown,
Josh Smith launched a walkoff homer over the centerfield wall sending the Tribe home winners.

Cullen Large currently leads the team with a 19-game on-base streak. He is looking to join junior

Ryan Hall has burst onto the scene for the Tribe as a sophomore. He leads the team with a .374 batting average (52-of-139) with 11 doubles, a triple, two homers, and 23 RBI.
• The Chesterfield, Va. native has been even better in league play. He leads the team with a .435 average (20-for-46) with five doubles in six RBI.
• Hall is the lone Tribe starter not record an error defensively this season.
• He has reached base safely in all but three of the games he's played in this season.
