FRESHMAN YEAR / 2016
Made 12 appearances and four starts during his rookie season with the Green and Gold … Allowed 35 runs (25 earned) on 40 hits in 26.1 innings worth of work … Finished the season with a 1-3 record … Picked up 17 strikeouts … Made his collegiate debut and struck out the side in his first career win over Holy Cross (2/28) … Pitched an inning of scoreless relief with a strikeout at Cal State Northridge (3/12) … Blanked Georgetown (4/1) for an inning with a strikeout … Made his first career start throwing 5.2 innings allowing just one earned run on seven hits against ACC foe Virginia Tech (4/5) … Pitched 4.2 innings without allowing a hit, but was saddled with the loss at Norfolk State (4/19).

HIGH SCHOOL
Played four years of baseball at Essex High School in Tappahannock, Virginia … Earned three all-district honors during his high school career, including a pair of first team selections (2013 and 2015) … Named First-Team All-Region as a centerfielder, Second-Team All-Region as a pitch in 2013 … Earned Second-Team All-State team honors as a centerfield … Was named District Player of the Year in 2013 … Earned First Team All-Region and Second-Team All-State Honors following his senior season … Owned a .367 batting average over his high school career, while only striking out 15 times in four season … Recorded 274 career strikeouts as a pitcher, including 128 strikeouts during his senior season … Played his club baseball with the Richmond Braves … Was his school’s valedictorian … Member of the National Honor Society … Went to the Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School.

Son of Terry and Robyn Carson … Undecided on his major at the College … Father, Terry, played baseball at Lynchburg College … Uncle, Richard Stevens, attended William & Mary and is a member of the class of 1989 … Enjoys playing ping pong and indoor soccer, and growing in his relationship with Christ during his spare time.
