WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The William & Mary baseball team concludes its five-game homestand with a pair of mid-week games against in-state rivals this week. The Tribe hosts Old Dominion on Tuesday, April 12, before welcoming VCU on Wendesday, April 13. Both games are set for a 6 p.m. first ptich at Plumeri Park.

• The Green and Gold is looking to get back in the win column and snap a four-game losing streak since being swept in a three-game weekend series by UNCW.

SERIES HISTORY• The Tribe faces Old Dominion for the 86th time in school history and just the second time in six days. The Monarchs lead the all-time series by a 56-29 mark.
• ODU picked up a 7-1 win in the first game of the series last week in Norfolk.
Cullen Large led the Tribe with a pair of hits in the setback.
• W&M will then meet VCU for the 75th time in program history. The Rams lead the all-time series 44-30, including taking a two games of a three game series at the Diamond in 2012.

SCOUTING THE MONARCHS • Old Dominion will be looking to extending its winning streak to five games when they welcome the Tribe on Tuesday night. The Monarchs, which swept Florida Atlantic over the weekend, have posted a 23-10 record to start the season.
• As a team, ODU is hitting .258 for the season. Will Morgan, who has only played in 17 games, leads the team with a .321 batting average (9-for-28). Nick Walker leads the team with 23 RBI, while Connor Myers leads the team with four homers and is second on the team with 21 RBI.
•The Monarchs have combined for a 4.30 team ERA. Victor Diaz leads the team with 2.20 ERA. He's tossed 31 innings with 20 strikeouts. Sam Sinnen and Nick Hartman lead the Monarchs with 30 strikeouts. Morgan Maguire and Hartman lead the team with 16 appearances, while Hartman has four saves.
• Chris Finwood is in his fifth season in Norfolk. He owns a 135-114 record at ODU.

SCOUTING THE RAMS •Coming off of its first-ever Super Regional appearance in 2015, the VCU baseball team has posted a 20-12 record in 2016. The Rams, which play at home against Norfolk State on Tuesday night, are looking to rebound this week after falling in a series at Rhode Island.
• As a team, VCU is hitting .255 through 32 games. Jimmy Kerrigan leads the team with a .364 batting average (44-for-121) with nine doubles, two homers, and 18 RBI. Kerrigan, Matt Davis, and Cody Aker are all tied for the team with 18 RBI, while Davis and Darien Carpenter lead the team with four homers.
• The Rams have combined for a 4.42 staff ERA this year. Sean Thomson anchors the rotation with a 3.75 ERA, tossing 45.2 innings, with 33 strikeouts. Sam Donko has made a team-high 16 appearances and has already recorded 11 saves.
•Shawn Stiffler is in his fourth year as the Rams head coach. He has posted 125-83 record in his time in RVA.

ON DECK• W&M hits the road for eight straight games following the homestand. The trek gets underway with a three-game CAA series at James Madison starting on April 15.
• Next week, the Tribe travels to Norfolk State (April 19), before heading to North Carolina (April 20) for its last two road mid-week games.
TRIBE IN THE PROS• With Opening Day taking place this week all around Major League Baseball, the Tribe has four players on the road to the show.

DOUBLING DOWN• W&M again is up in the national statistical rankings in doubles and doubles per game. The Tribe ranks 29th in the NCAA with 68 doubles, and 28th with 2.19 doubles a game.

Charley Gould leads the team and ranks 46th in the country with 12 doubles.

GOING, GOING GONE• William & Mary has had two players have multiple home run games this season. Both
Josh Smith and Junior
Charles Ameer belted two homers in the same game.Â

SCORING IN BUNCHES• The Tribe ranks 38th in the country with 7.3 runs per game, but when the team starts scoring the runs usually come in bunches. W&M has had 22 innings this season, where they have plated four, or more runs.
• Furthermore, the Green and Gold have had five games where they have scored four, or more, runs in multiple innings.
• The most runs W&M has scored an inning this season has been 7 on April 3 against Georgetown, but the Tribe has also scored six runs an inning three times this season.Â

WALK THIS WAY•Senior
Josh Smith has had some flair for the dramatic this season with both of the Tribe's walk-off hits this season. Against Holy Cross he lifted a sacrifice fly to centerfield that scored
Kyle Wrighte on a sacrifice fly. On Saturday against Georgetown,
Josh Smith launched a walkoff homer over the centerfield wall sending the Tribe home winners.

GETTING ON BASE•
Charley Gould, who had reached base safely in every game prior to the ODU game, saw is his on-base streak come to an end at 27. Junior
Ryder Miconi now has the team's longest active streak at 27 consecutive games.
