The William & Mary women's swimming team takes its first step towards defending its Colonial Athletic Association title on Saturday, traveling north to Maryland to take on conference-rival Towson. The Tigers will begin diving at 10 a.m., with swimming events beginning at 1 p.m. Results will be published live on the Meet Mobile app.

W&M is 3-2 on the year, after defeating West Virginia last week as part of the Virginia Tech quad meet. Senior
Jaimie Miller (Houston, Texas) leads the team with six wins and 94.75 points, and leads the entire CAA with her season-best time of 23.62 seconds in the 50 free. Classmate
Sophie Rittenhouse (London, England) is the league-leader in the 200 back at 2:03.83, and sophomore
Maria Oceguera (New Rochelle, N.Y.) is atop the CAA table in both the 1650 free (17:29.91) and the 200 fly (2:04.83). Sophomore
Morgan Smith (Verona, N.J.) rounds out the league-leaders with a 4:35.44 showing in the 400 IM.
Scouting the Tigers
Towson is 2-1 on the year, winning out over UMBC and Georgetown in the past two weeks after opening with a loss to Penn State. Ashley Illenye has the CAA's top time this season in the 1,000 free, at 10:20.45, while Jacy Icard (56.22) is tops in the 100 back.
