The William & Mary women's golf team had two women honored on the Colonial Athletic Association's All-Conference teams, the league office announced on Wednesday.  The coaches of the CAA's eight women's golf teams voted on the awards, including Golfer of the Year, Coach of the Year, Rookie of the Year, two all-conference teams, and the All-Academic team.

Representing the Tribe on the All-CAA first team was junior Alessandra Liu (Cynwyd, Pa.), who became W&M's first player to make the top squad since 2010.  Liu broke the school-record for the best season average by nearly three-quarters of a stroke, averaging 75.0 strokes per round, and also ranks second all-time with 815 wins and an .878 winning percentage.  She won the Tribe's own Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate at Kingsmill in March, and had six top-10 finishes on the year including at the CAA Championships.  Liu also set the school record with six rounds of par or better on the season, while playing 30 total rounds, the most for any player since 1981-82.  She is the third W&M player to be named first-team All-CAA, joining Morgan Stepanek '10 (2010) and Ann Schnell '04 (2003 and 2004).

Joining Liu on the all-conference list was senior Anna McMullen (Monroe, La.), who was named to the CAA All-Academic team.  A history major, McMullen had one of the best seasons of her career in 2014-15, playing in all five spring tournaments and seven of 10 overall, including a top-25 finish at the CAA Championships.  She averaged 80.19 strokes per round on the season, and lowered her career average to 81.05, 16th-best all-time at W&M.  McMullen is also a two-time NGCA All-American Scholar, and anticipates earning her third award this summer.
