The William and Mary women's golf team battled through a tough second round at the Edwin C. Watts/Kiawah Island Spring Classic on Monday, and enters the final round just seven strokes out of the top-20 at the 40-team event.  Host College of Charleston took over the team lead at 588 (+12), ten strokes ahead of Troy, while the Tribe is tied with Towson for 26th overall at 638 (+62).  The Cougar's Laura Fuenfstueck is the individual leader at 141 (-3), after a topsy-turvy day that saw wholesale changes in the team and player standings.

For W&M, sophomore Mia Zanghetti (Jacksonville, Fla.) continues to lead overall after her 80 (+8) was one the team's best two rounds of the day.  Zanghetti is tied for 53rd overall, with a total of 155 (+11).  Junior Alessandra Liu (Cynwyd, Pa.) shot 81 on the day to move into a tie at 59th two strokes back, and senior Anna McMullen (Monroe, La.) matched Zanghetti with another 80, her second of the week, and is tied for 92nd at 160 (+16).  Classmate Kellie Edelblut (New Hope, Pa.) is tied for 160th and junior Tina Chang (Mineola, N.Y.) is one stroke behind in a tie for 167th.

The Kiawah Classic finishes out on Tuesday with one round beginning at 9 a.m.  The top-20 teams will play on the Osprey Point Course, while W&M and the balance of the field will play at Oak Point.
