Women's Swimming Drives to No. 17 Duke, ODU on Saturday

The William & mary women's swimming team looks to get back on the winning track this weekend, heading down to Durham, N.C., for a 1 p.m. match-up Saturday with No. 17 Duke and Old Dominion.  The meet can be followed on the web with live results.

Scouting the Tribe
W&M is 3-2 on the year and 2-2 in conference play, after going 1-2 at the CAA Pod Meet last weekend.  The Tribe beat UNCW, but fell to James Madison and Delaware.  Senior Jessie Ustjanauskas (West Hartford, Conn.) is 9-1 on the year and undefeated in the fly events, leading four Tribe swimmers with five wins or more.  Junior Sophie Rittenhouse (London, England) has six wins, while classmate Jaimie Miller (Houston, Texas) and freshman Morgan Smith (Verona, N.J.) have both won five times.

Scouting the Blue Devils
No. 17 Duke moved up five spots in the national polls this week, after downing Florida State to improve to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the ACC.  The Blue Devils are being led by miler verity Abel, who ranks second in the NCAA with a 16:44.99 in the 1,650 free, as well as by flyers Leah Goldman and Isa Paez.  Goldman is seventh in the nation in the 100 fly at 53.77, and Paez is 17th in the 100 fly (54.31) and ninth in the 200 fly (1:58.90).
