The William and Mary men's cross country season races Saturday in its final tune-up before the conference championships, taking on over 50 teams at the Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind. the 8K look at next month's national championship site will have 13 teams competing that are ranked or receiving votes in the national poll, including defending NCAA champion and No. 1 ranked Oklahoma State. The Tribe will also be sending athletes down to the CNU Invitational in Newport News on Saturday as well.

Scouting the TribeW&M will be taking seven athletes out to Indiana to compete against the best in the nation. As a team, the Tribe won the W&M Invitational, took third at the Spider Alumni Open, and was eighth at the Panorama Farms Invitational.

Scouting CNUSaturday's CNU Invitational will include several teams from around the state and region, and provide a valuable competition opportunity for the Tribe's runners who will be providing depth at the CAA Championships. This is also the final tune-up for Christopher Newport ahead of hosting the Division III regional meet next month. Slated to compete are athletes from W&M and CNU, as well as Division I teams North Carolina A&T, Hampton, Norfolk State, and VCU; and Division III squads Johns Hopkins, Lynchburg, York, Washington & Lee, Catholic, UT Tyler, Emory & Henry, Randolph College, Roanoke, and Virginia Wesleyan.
