RICHMOND, Va. — Following a strong season on the course for the William & Mary men's cross country team, sophomore Jacob Jones was named to the Colonial Athletic Association's All-Conference team on Friday.
 
Jones was a perennial top-finisher for the Tribe this fall, leading the Green and Gold at the CAA Championship with a 14th -place showing in 25:23.00. It's the second-straight season Jones has captured All-CAA honors. W&M placed third at the league meet, continuing its 35-year streak of placing in the top three at the event. 
 
The Weyers Cave, Va. native also helped W&M clinch a first-place finish at the CNU Regional Preview in September, crossing the finish line in fourth with a time of 24:38.3. Additionally, he notched a top-120 finish at the stacked Paul Short Run and placed 66th in the field of 176 at the Virginia XC23 Invitational.
