The William and Mary women's swimming team won three events and the final relay Saturday afternoon, but it was not enough as East Carolina won the meet 166-94. The Tribe is now 3-4 overall, while the Pirates improved to 5-1.

Each of the three individual wins came from three different swimmers for the Tribe, including sophomore
Megan Howard (McLean, Va.). Howard swam 24.15 in the open 50 free for the gold, and then came back in the 200 free relay to split the same time on her leadoff and propel the team to victory. The rest of the winning free relay included
Noelle Klockner (Marlboro, N.J.),
Sara Shaner (Clarendon Hills, Ill.), and
Greta Schneider (Moorestown, N.J.), who touched the final wall in 1:35.64.
W&M also earned victories in the 200 back and 500 free. Sophomore
Liz Glenn (Greenwood Village, Colo.) was just off of a pool record in the 200 back, winning in 2:02.75. In the 500 free, senior
Caylyn Tate (Sterling, Va.) won her team-leading ninth race of the year, touching the wall in 5:04.68.
William and Mary is back in the pool next weekend, Thursday through Saturday Nov. 15-17 at the Hokie Fall Invitational.
