The William and Mary women's golf team persevered through trying conditions Saturday at the Lady Paladin Invitational, and stands poised to make a move in tomorrow's final round after entering the clubhouse 11th overall at 638 (+62).  Furman took over the team lead in the 14-team standings at 601 (+25), and each of the top three teams are separated by a total of two strokes.  Chattanooga's Marion Duvernay is the individual leader by two strokes, after shooting 144 (E) through two rounds.

Freshman Tina Chang (Mineola, N.Y.) continues to lead the Tribe's effort, and is tied for 17th overall after her second-round 78 lifted her total to 154 (+10).  Sophomore Kellie Edelblut (New Hope, Pa.) is four strokes back and tied for 31st, and senior Betsy Birchall (Mountain Brook, Ala.) is tied for 42nd with a two-day total of 160 (+16).  Freshman Alessandra Liu (Cynwyd, Pa.) shot 84 Saturday to move into a tie for 64th, and senior Katy Hutcherson (Greeneville, Tenn.) held steady in a tie for 72nd overall.  Competing as an individual, sophomore Anna McMullen (Monroe, La.) cut one stroke between rounds and now stands tied for 68th.

The Lady Paladin Intercollegiate concludes with one round on Sunday.
