More Records Fall
In addition to Friday's three meet and stadium records that were taken down, Saturday afternoon produced two more records in the distance relays. In the 4x800m, the Georgetown team of Shanique DaSilva, Emily Infeld, Rachel Schneider, and Chelsea Cox ran 8:45.80 to take down the record of 8:47.6 set by Villanova in 1988. Later, it was the Michigan quartet of Taylor Pogue, Rebecca Addison, Danielle Tauro, and Jillian Smith who sprinted to 18:04.14 in the 4x1,500m, well under the previous mark of 18:22.0 set by Princeton in 1994.
William and Mary returns to the track next weekend, competing at the George Mason Spring Invitational on Saturday, April 9th.
