The William and Mary women's track and field team wrapped up the weekend's competition Saturday at the Fred Hardy Invitational in Richmond, collecting four personal-best marks between the 3,000m run and javelin throw.
3,000m Run
In the 3,000m, sophomore
Melissa DiVecchia
(Centreville, Va.)
was the Tribe's top finisher in 10:12.40, cutting 8.6 seconds off of her previous best time for the distance. Junior

finished close behind her, carving a massive 15.49 seconds off of her previous best to cross the line in 10:14.45.

In the javelin, a pair of freshmen continued their progress at an impressive rate for the College.

threw 30.52 meters (100-1) to improve on her best from last week's season-opener by more than three-and-a-half feet, while classmate
Kayla Trantham

improved nearly four feet in just her second competition to throw 26.81m (87-11).

Kiah Zaremba
(Fredericksburg, Va.)
pushed through unfavorable temperatures to take fourth place overall, clearing the course in 16.24 seconds.
William and Mary is back in action next weekend, hosting more than 75 colleges and universities in the 46th Annual Colonial Relays. The weekend will begin Thursday afternoon, March 31st, with the women's hammer throw before continuing with individual finals on Friday and relay finals on Saturday.
