Improved her lifetime-best in the javelin twice over the course of the year ... Broached 100 feet for the first time at George Mason, with a throw of 30.92m (101-5) ... At the CAA Championships, finished ninth with a toss of 30.98m (101-8).
2010-11 - PROVOST AWARD WINNER
Improved by 15 feet over the course of the season, her first attempting the javelin ... Threw 30.19m (99-0) at James Madison at the end of April ... Two weeks later, took 12th at the CAA Championships with a throw of 30.13m (98-10).
Prep: Played basketball and softball at Poquoson, but will try her arm at
the javelin in college ... Captained the Islanders to the 2010 district
