Atlanta, Ga. - The William and Mary Tribe baseball team fell in heart-breaking fashion Sunday afternoon, losing on a Bradley Logan walk-off, two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth. With the 7-6 loss at Georgia State, the Tribe finishes the season with a 27-24 record overall and a 10-14 mark in the CAA. The Panthers head to the CAA Championship with a record of 34-21-1 overall and 17-6-1 in conference action.

On the mound, freshman
Brett Koehler had a solid start for the College, pitching 5.2 innings while only allowing three runs. Koehler scattered six hits while striking out four on the afternoon.
Unlike the first two games of the series, the Panthers were able to take an early lead on the Tribe, scoring a run in the bottom of the first to take the early lead. After two scoreless frames, the College was able to take its first lead of the game in the third inning.
Leading off the frame for the Tribe was Williams, who blasted his third triple of the year to deep center field. One batter later, Osteen doubled to left field, driving home Williams and getting the College on the board. Next up was Jensen, who blasted his first homer of the season over the fence in left, giving the Tribe its first lead of the game, 3-1.
After Georgia State cut the lead in half with a run in the bottom of the fourth, the College answered right back in the fifth. After a lead-off single from Arcure, sophomore
Chris Forsten hit a double to right-center field to put runners on second and third for Alas. Alas singled to center, plating Arcure and moving Forsten to third. One batter later, Brown drove in Forsten with a bunt down the first-base line, pushing the College's advantage to 5-2.
In the top of the sixth, W&M would add on to its lead over the Panthers. Slattery would homer for the second-consecutive game, sending a solo shot over the fence for his fifth of the season. After five and a half, the Tribe led GSU, 6-2.
The College's lead wouldn't remain four for long, as Georgia State scored a run in the sixth and two in the seventh to cut the lead to one heading to the bottom of the ninth.
After the Tribe was unable to add any insurance runs in the top of the ninth, Georgia State got a lead-off single to start the inning. Logan followed for the Panthers, winning it with a walk-off shot over the fence in center, giving Georgia State a 7-6 victory.
With the completion of the series with Georgia State, the 2010 season for the William and Mary Tribe baseball team is now complete.
