Hempstead, N.Y. ? Four William and Mary Tribe women's soccer players earned All-CAA honors at Colonial Athletic Association awards banquet on Thursday night. Junior Diana Weigel and sophomore Mallory Schaffer were named first-team All-CAA, while sophomore Cortlyn Bristol was named All-CAA Second Team. Freshman Audrey Barry was named not only to the All-CAA Third Team, but also to the CAA's All-Rookie Team.

After earning first-team honors and being named CAA Defensive Player of the Year last season, Weigel continued her strong play in 2010, earning All-CAA First-Team honors for the second-consecutive season. Weigel, who started all 19 matches for the Tribe this year, was a stalwart on the Tribe's defense again this season. Weigel also contributed on the offensive end, scoring one goal and dishing out three assists on the season. Weigel's best match of the season came in the Tribe's 3-2 victory over VCU, when the Fairfax, Virginia native recorded a goal and an assist to lead the College to the win.

After a solid rookie year, Schaffer had a breakout season for the Tribe in 2010, earning All-CAA First Team honors. An absolute force offensively, Schaffer led the Tribe with 23 points on the strength of a team-high 10 goals and three assists. Schaffer's outstanding numbers ranked her in a tie for second in goals in the conference and fifth in the CAA in points. When Schaffer scored this season for the College, it came in bunches at the sophomore tallied four matches with two goals. During one four-match stretch this year, Schaffer notched four consecutive goals for William and Mary. On the season, Schaffer led the College with four game-winning scores.

Bristol earned second-team All-CAA recognition this season after being named to the CAA All-Rookie squad a year ago. Bristol was again a standout on the offensive side of the pitch for the Tribe in 2010, scoring six goals and tallying five assists, both of which were second best on the team. Bristol tallied a pair of match-winners for the Tribe this season, scoring the decisive goals in W&M's victories at Towson and at Drexel. Bristol's best match this season came against the Tigers, where she tallied a pair of goals.

Making an immediate impact for the Tribe this season was Barry, who was named both third team All-CAA as well as a member of the CAA All-Rookie Team. Barry led the College with seven assists on the season and also netted three scores during her first season. A fixture all year on all season long on Top Drawer Soccer's "National Top 100 Freshmen List", Barry was a menace to opposing team's defenses. In the Green and Gold's win over Richmond, Barry tallied the Tribe's only goal in the 1-0 win.

The College ended the season with an overall record of 10-7-2, the Tribe's 29th consecutive winning season, an NCAA record. The season also marked the fifth-straight year that the College tallied 10 or more victories in a season.
