Tara Flint (Sterling, VA) was named a second-team Academic All-American by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America), as announced today.
Flint, who was named to the third-team last season, saw action in every match of her career and started in all but one. She scored 28 goals and 19 assists in her career, including four goals and a CAA-leading 10 assists this season.
A three-time first-team All-CAA performer, Flint was the league's Player of the Year in 2001, and was named to the CAA All-Tournament team after leading the fourth-seeded Tribe to its ninth CAA Championship.
In the classroom, she carries a 3.84 GPA as a double major in mathematics and computer science.
