Zeb Cope (Hopkins, SC) recently signed a contract to play professional basketball for Aguas de Calpe, a team in Spain's LEB Division, the second-highest level of professional basketball in the country.
Cope graduated from W&M in 2004 with 616 points and 411 rebounds in his collegiate career. He en-joyed a terrific senior season, in which he started all but one of W&M's games, averaging 12.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per contest. Last season, Cope connected on 45.1% of his field goal attempts, while leading the team with a .379 three-point field goal percentage. He ended the season ranked among the Colonial Athletic Association's leaders in scoring (17th), rebounding (7th), field goal percentage (11th), free throw percentage (.675, 13th) and three-point field goals per game (1.39, 14th).
W&M returns three starters from last season's team, including 2004 CAA Rookie of the Year and third team all-conference selection
Corey Cofield (Wellesley, MA). The Tribe will open the 2004-05 campaign by hosting the first tournament in school history, the W&M Tip-Off Classic, presented by Jim and Jane Kaplan. W&M will face Hartford in the first round of the event on Friday, November 19 at 8:30 PM. Yale and Radford will also play in the first round, with the consolation and championship games of the tournament to be held on Saturday, November 20, following the Tribe's home football game against Richmond.
