WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Aug. 8, 2014)—The William and Mary football team earned another preseason national ranking on Friday, as it is tabbed No. 19 by The Sports Network.
Earlier this week, W&M garnered a No. 22 national ranking in the preseason Coaches Poll. The Tribe is also listed No. 12 by Lindy's, No. 15 by Athlon and No. 23 by Sporting News.
The College returns 17 starters from last season's squad that posted three wins against top-20 teams and narrowly missed earning a NCAA Playoff berth, the William and Mary football team garnered a No. 22 national ranking in the preseason Coaches Poll.
Among the College's returning starters are six players who earned preseason all-conference honors earlier this summer. Senior All-American defensive tackle Mike Reilly highlighted those standouts and was chosen as the league's preseason defensive player of the year. Joining him on the preseason All-CAA team were senior Tre McBride, who garnered distinction as both a wide receiver and a return specialist, senior linebacker Airek Green, junior linebacker Luke Rhodes, junior cornerback DeAndre Houston-Carson and junior center Andrew Jones.
